How the Fights Work

To submit your interest in joining the fight night, applicants must pay the entry fee of 10,000 Gil. This will make the pot for the evening. Fight applications can only be submitted through the discord. Any applicants on the night may be put into a 'fill pile' to be the first group applicable for taking a space should someone drop out. Entry fee will still apply.At the start of the round, both parties will be asked to roll a /dice party. This will determine turn order and will be emoted as the shoutcaster flipping a coin.
Both parties start with 1000HP. Instead of rolling to hit, you will be rolling to take HP off your opponent.
The first attacks will be rolled out /dice party. After first round, dice will be /dice party X, with X being 1000 - your first roll.
For example, if your first roll came out as 340, your second turn will be (1000-340=660) /dice party 660, and so on. You will not need to do the math yourself.The person with the lowest HP after 6 rounds, OR the first to 0, loses their fight. The winner will recieve whatever the determined prize for the fights of the evening is, and their fights will be over for the evening.

Though the arena is now outside of the Wyvern, the same safety procedures apply.The ring is aetherically warded to protect any spectators and the shoutcasters, and will protect the fighters inside from any serious permanent injuries or foreign bodies thrown into the ring. This aetheric barrier also protects any Vieran patrons from dangerous Aetheric levels from magic and healing, making fights completely safe for them, and other participants.Crowd interaction with the fights are strictly forbidden and should you be signed up to fight, you will be removed from the running with no refund on entry fee. It is a must that both fighters visit the in house medic before continuing merriment at the Wyvern.
Please remember that player consent is key, and that communication must be consistent throughout the fight. Lasting wounds are players discretion, but we will not tolerate character death on our mats.

How to Apply

The Whispering Wyvern is an RP tavern hosted by the FC Etoiles Infinitus <<WYVERN>> Mateus.
Currently our opening nights are Tuesday & Friday from 6PM EST, with bounties being run all through the week around these times. At the moment we are looking to hire more hosts for The Wyvern. This can happen one of two ways:- Join the FC:
The Wyvern whilst being a Tavern, is a standalone project of the FC it is connected to. For more information please review the following link and reach out to any online member. ei-rp.carrd.co

Recruitment form
You do not have to be part of the FC to be part of the Wyvern, though it is encouraged.Unless given another role by a manager or director, general duties are as follows:
- Greeting guests as they come in.
- Handing out “menus” i.e. giving out the link to the carrd menu.
- Serving drinks and food.
- Should it be appropriate, conversing with the guests.The RP we expect from our hosts is very much based on their comfort levels as a roleplayer. Feel like emoting your character making a complicated cocktail when it’s ordered? Go for it! Just want to bring out the food once it’s done being made? Also totally fine. We aren’t going to make you do anything you don’t want to do.The Wyvern and Connecting FC also run our own story arcs from time to time. You will also be invited to partake in these events should you feel like it. These can range from casual hangouts with 'themes', or full on combat events. You will also be invited to any casual rp we do outside of Wyvern hours.

The Bounties

How does it work?

Mission Types
Types of missions will vary depending on the job type. The common options are:
- Monster Hunting
- Investigation
- Relic acquisition
However, missions are not limited to this.Party size will also be determined on the Notice.DiceAll events will use a standard D20 roll unless stated otherwise by the DM.Bounty Tiers
Bounties will fall under one of four tiers. C will be the easiest, with S being the hardest and reserved for adventurers that are already an influential regular of The Wyvern.
Any tier mission can fail depending on the groups choices.
Should a Bounty be failed by the party, it can be readded to the Bounty Board with an added 'Threat bonus'.Tier requirements
C-A rank jobs will be offered to the general public of The Wyvern. No bonuses will be applied and will use standard ACs.
S rank jobs will be reserved to be given out to regulars of The Wyvern under the DMs discretion. These are usually to more active members of our community, be they FC members or Patrons.Note: The Whispering Wyvern and its Affiliates are not responsible for any healing needed from Bounty injuries for Patrons. The Wyvern Clinic is not responsible for any wounds acquired through Bounties for its Patrons. Healing capability should be considered when forming parties.

Once you have your 'Merc card' completed, you will be able to take Notices, or take part in them.

The Rules

In Character

Weapons

Unless preparing for a bounty, no weapons are permitted on sight. Hand them in to any member of staff and they will be stored appropriately for the duration of your stay.

Neutrality

We are an inclusive venue to all walks of life. Keep all political opinions open minded, or at the door.

Magic

The use of magics is not permitted in the main hall, unless booked to perform.

Fighting

Fighting is a given in our profession. Should a conflict not be resolved with words, any fighting should be moved from the main hall to outside.
Should the Coerthan climate not be to your liking, the use of the Company Gym will be offered for a small fee. Wooden training weapons will be permitted in this room, which will be provided by staff.Breaking anything (purposefully) in the main hall or the Gym will result in your removal from the premises and you will be charged for it's replacement.

The Staff

Staff at The Whispering Wyvern are here to provide a service. Please be reminded that treating them poorly will result in your removal from the Tavern.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

Animals

Unless having prior permission, all animals should be left in the Chocobo Stables outside. Food and water will be provided in the stable.

Payment

All Food items should be paid for upfront. Tabs may be opened for drinks, but must be paid for before leaving.
Stealing from Staff or other Patrons will lead to your direct removal from The Wyvern.

Courtesy

To ensure all staff can understand an communicate with Patrons, please only speak Common/Eorzean when within the halls of the Wyvern.Please keep voices low should someone be performing. Heckling is discouraged.

Out of Character

IC Only

We are a strictly IC Venue. We politely ask that you don't bring characters that are NPCs, memes, children, or anything that may be disruptive to the IC life of The Wyvern.With that being said we are also a morally grey, lore flexible Company. We are unlikely to turn away characters with darker backgrounds unless they become disruptive.
Be considerate of those around you.

Gil

Staff of The Wyvern will never ask for Gil for any items from the menu. Tips, however, are appreciated.

Bounties

Unless stated otherwise, all rewards from Bounties are IC only.

Be Mature

We ask that all who visit The Wyvern act with a sense of maturity & respect towards their fellow community members.

  • You are personally responsible for your own community experience.

  • Should an issue arise with another member, please try fixing it between yourselves before involving any staff of The Wyvern.

  • We are here to facilitate communities, roleplay, and events generally, not cater explicitly and solely to ones character.

Inclusive

Use of bigoted language, not limited to (lgbt+ phobic, transphobic, ableist, racist ect) is prohibited. Only one warning will be given, if you continue, you will be removed and blacklisted.

Courtesy

We are an English speaking venue. This means chatter both IC and OOC needs to be in English.Whilst we are an 18+ venue, we are a SFW venue. ERP and mature/dark RP is strictly prohibited.
This is not an ERP Venue, please treat our staff and space with respect. This goes for ALL spaces in The Wyvern, including private chambers.

OOC Chatter

Please keep OOC chatter in public channels to a minimum. Should you think someone has missed your post, /tell them to check before reposting.

Security

Members of The Whispering Wyvern Security staff are allowed to carry their weapons at all times and act as peacekeepers. As such, should a scuffle break out and they need to involve themselves, security will carry a +300 to their dice. We would like to keep our venue a calm, welcoming place so the sooner conflicts are resolved, the better.

Roleplay

You are in control of your character and their actions. Please understand IC actions do have IC consequences & you are responsible for your own fun.

  • Powergaming, god-modding & metagaming is prohibited. You will get one warning before being removed from The Wyvern.

  • Should your RP include the use of Job Stones, please get consent for using it when sparring/fighting with someone. Consent is key.

  • COMMUNICATE with other patrons if you intend to interact with them.

Fighting

NO fighting is permitted whilst inside the Wyvern. If an issue cannot be resolved with OOC communication, take it outside.
